Working within a production management team, this is an excellent opportunity in an excellent organisation.Role And ResponsibilitiesTo lead a multi-function team in planning and executing a Production Schedule through the siteManage Human and Material resources to meet the production targetsGive estimated production dates of parts to Quality to aid schedulingLiaise with Engineering and Purchasing on Engineering Change Notices to advise on revision changes on parts orderedReview and adjust schedule as required keeping relevant departments informedPrioritise and expedite urgent parts outside of the normal lead timesTo ensure traceability of parts is maintained throughout the entire processEnsure Standard Operating Procedures are being followedMonitor Health and Safety adherence, recommending and implementing improvements when agreedCapture relevant capacity data across customer product range to develop the planning processConduct scheduled meetings with Supervisor team to review performance, issues and targetsPrepare, maintain and communicate production performance reports to management on a weekly basisAs part of the role there may be a requirement to travel nationally and internationallyWork to an Organisational Structure in the delegation of tasksParticipate in development of the organisational structure to meet the site demandsPerformance manage, develop and motivate staff within the teamDrive consistent systems and thinking within the organisation to develop and grow the cultureContinuously improve flow of product through the site ideally using Lean Manufacturing methodsEducation And ExperienceDegree in relevant field i.e. Engineering, Science, ManufacturingProven experience in a similar role for 5 years or moreKnowledge and experience working in ISO certified environment (aviation industry experience an advantage, but not essential)Understanding of and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing techniquesExperience working with ERP/MRP systemsExcellent Project Management SkillsAn organisational-focussed thinker motivated to challenge the norm, discuss ideas and gain consensusGood Problem-Solving abilityTeam player who enjoys multiple interactions with fellow employees on a daily basis
