The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in the success of our operations by effectively sourcing and procuring goods and services. The position works closely with various sites across Ireland, ensuring materials, plant, and equipment are delivered on-time and to specification while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive requisitions from our sites and raise accurate purchase orders for:
o Construction materials
o Plant and equipment hire (large & small)
o Safety equipment, including all PPE
o Access control security systems (installations & maintenance)
o Agency contingency labour
* Manage certifications for all certified plant and temporary fire control on sites and at head office.
* Coordinate logistics and transport, including the movement of company plant and materials to and from sites (scaffolding included).
* Compile and produce reports as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned by your Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a construction purchasing role or similar
* Strong negotiation abilities
* Excellent communication and vendor management skills
* Proficiency with Excel and ERP/purchasing systems
* Familiarity with the domestic construction supply chain is preferred
* Responsive and able to work independently
* Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
