As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and routines within our residential care homes.
The Health Care Assistant plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality care to service users, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and understanding.
This includes providing direct support to service users, managing administrative tasks, and completing essential household duties.
The role requires collaboration within a dedicated and innovative team in Residential Services, ensuring that care is delivered in line with national regulations and standards.
Contributions will directly enhance the quality of life for those receiving care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care and support to service users
* Managing medication and administering treatments as required
* Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Supporting service users with mobility and physical disabilities
* Communicating effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
* Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Relevant QQI Level 5 / Fetac Level 5 or equivalent qualification
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities
* Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
* Full manual drivers license is mandatory (eligibility to drive in Ireland)
* Ability to provide 3 employment references
