Our mission is to unlock the power of the ocean with insight, for a better tomorrow.OverviewAs XOCEAN continues to evolve and align our operations for the future, we are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Survey Output Lead who will be accountable for survey data quality and productivity during their assigned 12-hour shift, on a "4 on – 4 off" rotation. This role is physically located in the XOCEAN Operations Centre in our Dundalk facility and reports to the XOCEAN Operations Centre (XOC) Shift Lead on a shift basis.Main Duties & Responsibilities• Accountable for survey data quality and productivity: Accountable for achieving the survey productivity targets, a critical Key Performance Indicator (KPI). This includes real-time monitoring of ongoing surveys, ensuring operational efficiency which align with lean manufacturing principles of waste reduction and process optimisation.• Managing Online Surveyors: Act as the shift-level coordinator for online surveyors, ensuring seamless communication, task execution, shift handovers and shift targets.• Survey Execution and Schedule Adherence: Exercise decision-making authority on survey status, to safeguard project timelines, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive successful execution against schedule commitments.• Real-Time Risk and Progress Monitoring: Fully accountable for real-time oversight across all operational surveys during shift, ensuring survey risks are quickly identified and mitigated. Conduct initial analysis of underperforming surveys and implement immediate corrective actions to drive productivity and performance. Perform targeted spot checks to verify strict adherence to procedures, while executing advanced quality assurance checks to validate and safeguard the accuracy of survey data.• Continuous Improvement (CI) and Standardisation: Drive ongoing improvements in shift operations by monitoring recurring survey issues and taking action to resolve them. Contribute to the creation, refinement, and implementation of standard operating procedures to improve quality, and increase survey efficiency.Essential Experience• 3+ years' experience with MBES, SBP, side scan and magnetometer datasets• 3+ years' experience in survey management, ideally on a shift basis.• Strong commercial experience focused on delivering quality data efficiently• Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability in project monitoring and control.• Excellent communication and team coordination ability.• Demonstrated ability to resolve survey issues and to make decisions under pressure.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Key Skills and Attributes• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.• Strong decision-making abilities.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Senior Leadership Team, Operational Functions.• Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Desirable Experience• Experience in managing large scale or multi-site surveys operations.• Experience in problems solving methodology (Lean, Six Sigma)Apply• Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria.
