Merchandiser Role
Reporting to the Tactical Manager, the Merchandiser will work as part of a team to enhance visibility for retail clients. The core responsibilities include stock rotation and planogram compliance. Merchandisers will identify in-store opportunities and deliver results aligned with CPM and client standards to support sales growth across categories.
Merchandisers should work independently, build strong relationships with store managers, and secure additional displays.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to journey plans provided by the line manager.
2. Follow merchandising guidelines, focusing on planogram compliance, promotional space maximization, and negotiations with store managers.
3. Record sales data, competitor activity, and provide timely feedback.
4. Ensure stock rotation, record short-dated stock on XDA, and notify store managers.
5. Maintain and expand planogram space where possible.
6. Ensure correct placement of SEL labels in front of products.
7. Merchandise promotional ends and verify pricing accuracy.
8. Capture before and after photographs using a handheld device.
9. Coordinate with store managers before leaving to ensure satisfaction with work done.
10. Communicate with the Tactical scheduler before and after each visit.
11. Build and maintain strong team relationships.
12. Generate new ideas and improve working methods.
13. Support product launches and promotions for all serviced brands.
14. Maintain all CPM and client standards and policies.
15. Strive for high performance standards for customer satisfaction.
16. Operate efficiently and effectively to complete all tasks.
17. Perform any additional duties as instructed by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
* Full clean driving license.
* Familiarity with technology.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good organizational skills.
