The Organisation
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38.
We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
The Role
Our valued Social Care Worker will, in conjunction with the wider multi-disciplinary team, have the opportunity to support the implementation of Our Shared Ambition within a positive and fulfilling work environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional and confident manner and be able to build and maintain excellent relationships at every level, within the team.
Essential Criteria
Candidates with Social Care Degree – level 7 or in progress of same
CORU Registration / application in process
Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
Full clean driving license and access to car
Desirable Criteria
Minimum two years' experience supporting people with an intellectual disability.
Experience in transition work and or independent living would be beneficial.
The aptitude to provide a person-centred approach to programmes.
The ability to develop implement and monitor such individual programmes.
The flexibility to work in all areas of independent living programme.
Knowledge of HIQA & New Directions Guidelines and Interim Standards
