The Junior Retrofit Engineer supports the Retrofit Engineer and wider operations team in
delivering SEAI compliant home energy upgrades. This is a strong opportunity to gain valuable
experience in the retrofit industry within a supportive and well structured environment. This is a
mainly office based role focused on managing project documentation, preparing SEAI grant
submission packs and homeowner handover packs, assisting with energy upgrade proposals,
and providing practical technical support to site teams to help ensure works are delivered
correctly first time.

Responsibilities:
• Manage project files from survey stage through to completion and handover, ensuring
documentation is accurate, complete, correctly named and stored in the agreed
company system.
• Maintain all project documentation including checklists, inspection records, photos,
certificates, commissioning sheets, manuals, warranties and product data.
• Gather and verify all information required for SEAI grant submissions, including
supporting evidence and completion documentation and work with internal teams to
close out missing items quickly.
• Prepare homeowner handover packs including certificates, warranties, operation and
maintenance information and clear system guidance for the homeowner.
• Assist the Retrofit Engineer with energy upgrade proposals by compiling technical
information, specifications, scope notes, and technical attachments using company
templates.
• Assist the in house Quantity Surveyor with measuring take offs, preparing costings and
supporting other commercial tasks as required to help keep project budgets and
valuations up to date.
• Provide practical technical support to site teams on retrofit measures and quality
requirements under the guidance of the Retrofit Engineer and escalate technical risks or
compliance concerns promptly.
• Support snag close out by confirming what evidence is required, ensuring it is captured
correctly, and updating project files and trackers.
• Support quality checks by ensuring evidence is captured and actions are tracked
through to closure, contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• From time to time, you may be required to assist with ad hoc administrative tasks or
project support duties to help the wider team keep projects moving and meet deadlines.
Experience:
• One to two years experience in residential construction, retrofit, BER surveys, building
services or a similar technical support role.
• Strong administrative and document control ability, with a proven record of keeping
project information accurate and complete.
Education:
• Level 6 to Level 8 qualification in Building Services Engineering, Construction,
Architecture, Sustainable Energy, or similar is preferred
• BER and DEAP familiarity is beneficial but not essential
• Willingness to complete relevant training and upskilling as part of the role

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple live project files at once and prioritise workload effectively
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
• Comfortable learning new systems and working to defined processes and checklists
