About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan project on-site activities, including necessary resources, equipment, and milestones.
* Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
* Responsible for the site from receiving the assigned site area until handing it over to the customer on completion day.
* Serve as a project representative on site, building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local stakeholders.
* Ensure correct handling, storage, and installation of equipment and material to avoid any damages.
* Report promptly to project logistics when goods have been received to site.
* Ensure detailed and up-to-date risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place for each work package, compliant with the project health and safety plan.
* Ensure all on-site resources are properly trained and promote health and safety considerations to project partners throughout the project.
* Control project cost for project site work, monitor actual spend against forecasts, and estimate final cost.
* Ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, and the document handling system is maintained.
* Manage sub-contractors on site to ensure necessary quality and progress are achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.
* Report regularly to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE, quality, progress, and cost.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent skills.
* 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager in construction and/or installation business.
* Good understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
* Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
* Proactive and flexible personality.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and good communication skills in English.
