About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Engineer years commercial experience)
to lead the design, development, and enhancement of an
Analytic Foundation
– a suite of scalable analytical capabilities built upon a modern data platform. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enable meaningful business insights and operational efficiencies.

Big Data, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing
to contribute to the development of innovative analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and analytical capabilities using modern Big Data tools and frameworks.
* Build and maintain high-performance analytics and data models to support scalable products and applications.
* Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
* Write, review, and optimise high-quality, well-tested code to ensure system reliability and scalability.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across development practices and processes.
* Take ownership of complex feature implementations and ensure best practices are applied across all project phases.
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in
Python or Scala

Spark

Hadoop platforms
and tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Sqoop).
* Advanced skills in
SQL
and experience building
Big Data products and platforms

* Proven experience with
cloud technologies
such as
Databricks, AWS, or Azure

* Demonstrated success in building and deploying
production-level data applications

ETL/ELT workflows

* Experience with
machine learning systems
, including data ingestion, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
* Degree in
Computer Science
