We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Porter at Balfes, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include supporting our chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
* Ensure all kitchen areas, including floors and surfaces, are clean and hygienic.
* Assist with the organization and storage of kitchen inventory.
* Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with hotel policies.
* Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
