Job Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at a luxurious hotel located in the beautiful countryside of Laois.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all food and beverage service meets high standards and exceeds guest expectations by maintaining excellent quality control, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and monitoring inventory levels.
* Supervise and direct a team of food and beverage colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery, provide guidance and coaching on sales techniques and customer service skills, and promote a positive work environment.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times, including regular cleaning schedules, proper storage of equipment and supplies, and reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
* Assist with stock takes, inventory management, and ordering supplies to maintain efficient operations and minimize waste, working closely with the procurement team to source high-quality products and negotiate competitive prices.
* Coach colleagues to maximize sales opportunities and meet targets by identifying areas for improvement, providing feedback and support, and developing training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Upsell products and services to guests, ensuring they have an exceptional experience by being attentive, knowledgeable, and proactive in offering additional options and promotions.
* Communicate effectively with the management team to ensure smooth departmental operations, providing regular updates on progress, sharing concerns or issues, and contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering results and improving performance.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build strong relationships with colleagues and guests, and foster a culture of collaboration and respect.
* Able to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, adapting to changing circumstances, and staying focused on goals and objectives.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality control.
* Familiarity with HACCP documentation and implementation, with the ability to apply principles and practices to improve food safety and quality assurance.
