Wills Bros is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Leinster team, based at ourSallins office in County Kildare, working on civil infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a significant civil engineering scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates and detailed budgets for all aspects of construction projects, including labour.
* Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
* Assist with tendering processes and offer cost advice during design and construction phases.
* Ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve commercial issues and maintain project timelines.
* Contribute to value engineering and risk management strategies for cost-effective delivery.
* Prepare valuations, cost reports, variations, and final accounts.
* Manage procurement and contract administration of subcontractors.
* Work closely with site teams, engineers, senior commercial staff, and clients.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying (essential).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering, ideally on road or civil infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control procedures.
* Experience with Public Works and NEC Contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
