The
Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS)
is seeking a
part-time Driver Clerk
to join our dedicated
Transport Department
in Carlow on a specified-purpose contract.
At IBTS, our mission is to save and improve lives by providing a safe, high-quality, and sustainable blood supply for Ireland. As part of our Carlow Mobile Team, you will play a key role in supporting nurse-led blood collection clinics and ensuring our vital services run smoothly across the South-East.
About the Role
As a
Driver Clerk
, you'll contribute to the smooth and safe operation of our mobile clinics by:
* Undertaking professional driving duties, including daily vehicle checks in line with IBTS standards
* Registering donors and assisting the collection team under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse
* Supporting operational excellence and exceptional donor experience
* Ensuring full compliance with legislative and organisational policies
Essential Criteria
* Full, clean
Class C & D Driving Licence
(including up-to-date CPC)
* Experience driving
Class B, C & D vehicles
* Leaving Certificate / FETAC Level 5 (minimum)
* Excellent written and verbal communication (fluent English)
* Strong IT and administrative skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel)
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in a customer-focused environment
* Ability to handle information with discretion and confidentiality
Desirable
* Clerical or administrative experience
* Experience in a
Quality Management Environment

€37,880 – €54,067 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum (dependent on experience)

Eligibility
