The Position:
The Supply Chain Specialist II plays a vital role within our global aviation services supply chain, operating 24/7. Responsibilities include maintaining target stock levels across airline service locations, managing material forecasts, and coordinating logistics to ensure optimal stock availability at minimal cost, while meeting service level agreements. The role involves communicating with customers and internal teams via multiple channels regarding parts support, including purchase, loan, exchange, and repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage system tools to optimize stock levels across global locations.
* Analyze supply chain data to validate planning recommendations and adjust demand forecasts as needed.
* Proactively manage reverse logistics, stock transfers, and procurement to meet commercial and service objectives.
* Resolve shortages and prevent future issues through active management and communication.
Customer Support:
* Serve as the primary contact for customer and internal parts support needs.
* Process purchase orders and offer alternatives like loans or exchanges.
* Coordinate deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
* Address high-priority demands and resolve issues independently or with a team.
* Maintain compliance with aviation authority and quality standards.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Flexible, multitasker, and adaptable to changing priorities.
* Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
* Some college or vocational training preferred.
* At least 4 years of demand fulfillment and inventory planning experience; logistics and data analysis experience a plus.
* Experience in aircraft or electronics industries preferred.
* Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods and travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
