Job Overview
Band 5 CAMHS Community Nurse within the Intensive CAMHS (I-CAMHS) service at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The role involves intensive care and outreach to young people and families requiring specialist T4 level CAMHS care, supporting those who struggle to access the Inverness clinic, require inpatient admission, or need support before and after admission to hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supportive contact with children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and their families within The Phoenix Centre, the community, and Raigmore Hospital.
Support the service to implement agreed interventions in line with best practice, building therapeutic relationships with young people and families to promote engagement and positive outcomes.
Offer training and exposure opportunities for professionals wishing to develop their skills in this varied clinical specialism.
Collaborate closely with the CAMHS multidisciplinary team to deliver a specialist, comprehensive and therapeutic service, using own initiative with support from colleagues.
Work flexibly, including outside normal working hours, while the core service runs Monday to Friday 9:00–17:00.
Qualifications & Requirements
Band 5 qualified nurse with experience in child and adolescent mental health.
Valid driving licence.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing service needs.
Welcomed Gaelic speakers.
Benefits
Effective 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours, with hourly rates adjusted to keep pay unaffected.
Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis.
