Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership and highest-level technical experience for the applications driving the factory operations.
2. Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities focusing on change, configuration, incident and problem management.
3. Drive the assessment, planning and authorization of changes to the IT production environment for manufacturing operations applications.
4. Minimize plant downtime through well planned upgrade project management.
5. Ensure production applications are stable, drive focused application improvement projects that support incident prevention.
6. Drive the identification of the root cause of production application incidents, contain and minimize downtime on the line.
7. Support all the other processes by providing accurate data related to the production environment, the elements (configuration items) that make it and their relationship.
8. Establish effective relationships within IT organizations to understand and interpret the process requirements and ensure efficient integration and optimal results for process definition.
9. Provide strategic leadership and highest-level technical experience for specific methodologies of implementation (Agile etc).
10. Develop process training material, conduct training sections and practical and technical consulting and mentoring on process utilization.
11. Lead the design and implementation of processes and methodology to ensure cost efficient, timely and effective services that support the corporate business strategy.
12. Drive the efficiency and effectiveness of MES processes and ensure that the process participants consistently follow the process standards, policies, business roles and procedures.
13. Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
14. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
15. Maintain concise process management documentation and ensure process information repository is complete and accurate.
16. Own the day-to-day administration and operation of the MES and any other key business critical manufacturing applications.
17. Define process controls and ensure are monitored and in compliance with Jabil audit requirements and compliance programs.
18. Communicate regularly with the senior leadership team to assess the status of the key critical manufacturing applications and define steps for improvement.
19. Develop new Key Performance Indicators and other measurements and/or identify data sources for them.
20. Lead teams on process and tool improvement initiatives across the engineering/technical team who are involved in service & product delivery; define quarterly process objectives.
21. Ensure Customer Satisfaction with the utilization and results of the process.
22. Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department.
23. Organize verbal and written ideas clearly.
24. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
25. Exchange knowledge and information with other facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization.
26. Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal or customer specific.
27. Understand, develop and embrace the business and IT strategic direction.
28. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, computer science or related discipline.
29. Minimum 5 years of overall IT/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
30. Fluent English written and verbal.
