Overview
We are seeking a Events Coordinator to join a small, supportive team based in Roscommon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about community engagement and volunteering, with strong organisational and people skills. The contract will be initially for 6 months with a view to extension pending funding.
Responsibilities
* Organise and support once-off and seasonal community events.
* Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for programmes and festivals.
* Promote volunteering through events, campaigns, and social media.
* Build relationships with community groups, schools, and youth organisations.
* Maintain accurate records on volunteer management systems (training provided).
* Support programme reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
Requirements
* Qualification or relevant experience in community, youth, or voluntary sectors.
* Event or project management experience desirable.
* Strong IT skills and ability to manage data accurately.
* Full driving licence and access to own transport.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexible to work evenings/weekends (time in lieu provided).
