Overview

TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the Public Sector to recruit a temporary Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer in Dublin. Location: Dublin 15. Hours: 9am to 5pm, 35hour working week. Contract: Temporary 6 month fixed term contract. Pay-rate: €19.50 – €30.07 per hour depending on previous relative public sector experience.


Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised individual to join our team as a Payroll & Time Returns Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing employee time returns and supporting payroll activities. Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook is essential, as is a professional and courteous phone manner.


Key Responsibilities & Duties

* Process and validate employee time returns accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity.
* Work closely with HR and line managers to resolve any discrepancies or missing data in time submissions.
* Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy in data entry and compliance with internal controls.
* Maintain and update employee records in SAP.
* Generate and analyse payroll reports from SAP and Excel for review and approval.
* Respond to employee queries regarding time returns, payroll issues, and general HR-related matters via phone and email.
* Provide administrative support to the HR or payroll department as needed.
* Assist in month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations.
* Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll and employee data at all times.


Key Skills & Competencies

* Proficient in SAP – particularly in time management and payroll modules.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling.
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Confident and professional phone manner.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
