Electrical Design Engineer - Energy, Infrastructure & Renewables

The firm is expanding its Energy Division, delivering projects in power generation, renewable energy, grid connection, and high-voltage infrastructure. You\'ll play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems that support Ireland\'s transition to a more sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver electrical engineering solutions for HV substations, renewable energy grid connections, rail electrification, and power transmission/distribution systems
* Support senior engineers in preparing detailed design reports, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant, innovative and sustainable designs
* Apply working knowledge of EirGrid, ESB, and industry standards in all design outputs
* Contribute to project delivery across wind, solar, and infrastructure sectors
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor\'s degree (Level 8) in Electrical or Power Engineering
* 2-5 years\' experience in electrical design, ideally within the energy, utilities, or renewables sectors
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, HV cable or substation design software, and MS Office
* Knowledge of power generation, protection systems, and HV/LV distribution
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
