We are currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a nursing home located in Co.
Dublin.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated ADON who can lead a nursing team while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Responsibilities Support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the nursing team and delivery of clinical services.
Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards, organisational policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements.
Provide strong clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and care staff.
Assist with staff supervision, rostering, performance management, and ongoing training and development.
Promote and embed a culture of person-centred care, dignity, and respect at all times.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and incident reporting and management processes.
Act as a senior clinical decision-maker and deputise for the Director of Nursing when required.
Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current active registration on the NMBI register.
A minimum of five years' post-registration experience, including at least one year in a senior or leadership role (CNM/ADON experience desirable).
Previous experience working in older persons' services or a long-term care setting.
Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
