Field Service Technician (Plumbing & Electrical)
Location: Ireland wide (travel required, including Northern Ireland)
Type: Part-time to start (2–3 days per week)
Contract: Open to contractor or employment (depending on experience)
About the role
We install and maintain self-serve dog wash stations at customer sites across Ireland and Northern Ireland. These are electromechanical units involving water, drainage, pumps, heaters, and basic electrical systems.
We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to carry out installations, preventative maintenance, and fault-finding. This is a practical, on-the-tools role, not a desk or design job.
What you'll be doing
* Installing new dog wash units at customer sites
* Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing and fixing faults (pumps, heaters, plumbing, electrical issues)
* Managing your own jobs day to day and working independently
* Communicating clearly with customers on site
* Completing basic job reports and photo records
* Managing van stock of parts and tools
What we're looking for
* Strong practical experience in plumbing and basic electrical work
* Background in maintenance, service, installation, car wash,, laundry, forecourt, or similar equipment
* Comfortable fault-finding and fixing issues without hand-holding
* Full clean driving licence
* Willing to travel nationwide and occasionally overnight
* Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling (or willing to obtain)
This role suits a technician, not an engineer.
If you prefer hands-on work and fixing things properly the first time, you'll fit well here.
What we provide
* Fuel, tolls, and travel covered
* All tools, parts, PPE, and training provided
* Flexible working pattern (2–3 days per week initially)
* Opportunity to grow into a larger role as the business expands
Pay
* Competitive and based on experience
* Open to day-rate contractor or part-time employment
* Discussed directly with suitable candidates
