The Opportunity
We are seeking talented students to join our team in Dublin and Cork for a few months.
We look for students ready to jump into the professional world; diverse individuals with inquisitive minds and a desire to challenge.
You will work alongside skilled professionals and contribute to real projects.
You will also participate in learning sessions with technical experts, work on local projects, and engage in social events.
Dublin:
Our team works across sectors including education, commercial, and healthcare.
Current educational projects include University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin E3 Learning Foundry, and various projects in Cork, such as the refurbishment of the Crawford Art Gallery.
We have delivered projects at UCC (Boole Library, Glucksman Art Gallery, Aula Maxima) and MTU (School of Catering, Interior Design and Architectural Technology, Zero2020 Retrofit, Nimbus micro-grid test bed).
Cork:
Our team is involved in sectors including science, education, commercial, healthcare, and sports.
Projects include UCD Science Block refurbishment, Data Centres, UCD Centre for Learning Building, TCD E3 Learning Foundry, TCD Old Library Renovation, and hospital projects like the National Children's Hospital, National Maternity Hospital, and a Critical Care Wing for the Rotunda Hospital.
We are also working on a Velodrome for Sport Ireland.
As a Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:
Work closely with experienced Building Services engineers to:
Undertake Thermal and Building Regulation Compliance modelling using IESVE or similar software
Use Revit to develop designs, tenders, and contract information
Prepare and input to decarbonisation strategies focusing on operational efficiency and renewable energy adoption
Analyze new technologies for incorporation into our projects to ensure sustainable and robust designs
Does this role inspire you?
We seek students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (NFQ Level 8/9 or equivalent).
