We are looking for a NPI Process Scientist to join our team in Ballytivnan, Sligo. This is a Permanent position. The position reports directly to the NPI Product Lead.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on patients’ lives by bringing ground‑breaking new products to market.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of the manufacturing process for new products.
Provide operational technical support for process‑related issue resolution.
Perform gap analysis, facility fit studies, process safety and risk analysis for NPI.
Monitor and analyze process data during manufacturing.
Prepare and update specifications related to NPI materials and consumables.
Lead and/or assist risk assessments (e.g., PFMEA, EHS).
Develop NPI‑related documents such as Transfer Plans, Protocols, Procedures, and Manufacturing Batch Records.
Work closely with global science and quality teams on the process development of suitable future products for AbbVie.
Assist and/or lead product and process‑related investigations and change plans.
Support, supervise, and train operations personnel for NPI processes.
Qualifications
3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline.
4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in pharmaceuticals is essential.
