Your new team is passionate about driving growth and making a positive impact on the industry.Your new roleYour new company is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting their external account managers by identifying and generating high-quality leads through outbound sales calls. You will build relationships with industrial distributors and builders' merchant customers, understanding their needs and positioning the companies' products/services effectively.
Your Responsibilities
1. Outbound Sales & Lead Generation: Proactively contact builders' merchants and industrial distributors to identify new business opportunities.
2. Account Management: Develop and nurture relationships with key in-store decision-makers, ensuring a high level of customer engagement.
3. Pipeline Development: Qualify leads and set up opportunities for the external sales team.
4. Sales Support: Provides product information, pricing details, and initial solutions for potential customers.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with external account managers to ensure a seamless handover of leads.
6. Answering incoming calls, and distributing to relevant parties
7. Processing Orders
8. Dealing with customer queries and complaints
9. Preparing Quotations
10. Logging calls on internal database using CRM
What you'll need to succeed
11. Previous experience in: B2B Sales(in construction/industrial sector desirable but not essential), account management, identifying and qualifying leads, working with builders' merchants, industrial distributors or similar sectors.
12. Strong ability to engage and build relationships over the phone.
13. Background in PPE (Hand/Foot Protection), construction materials, tools, or industrial supplies (desired but not essential)
14. Experience with working towards and meeting KPIs
15. Demonstrate a keen interest in and knowledge of both products and business
