American Fruits and Flavors are the manufacturing entity for Monster Energy.Position OverviewPerform all in-house QC testing on incoming raw materials, raw samples and /or finished products, working with minimal supervision. Receive instruction and guidance from QC Chemists and management. The position has internal contact with Production, and Purchasing and inter-company lab personnel regarding resources and procedures. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform all functions and duties in the Laboratory operations as neededSelect and prepare all standards for comparison with samples from productionEvaluate incoming raw material samples for compliance with specificationsResponsible for collection, review and filing of Certificates of Analysis for all raw materialsResponsible for documenting HACCP CCP and OPRP requirementsPrepare samples for outside testing as neededResponsible for organising, storing, clean up and disposal of QC retained samplesResponsible for cleaning and calibration all QC lab instruments on a regular basisReport problem areas within the QC function and recommend solutionsWash all glassware; maintain clean working area and sufficient inventory of supplies in the labMust demonstrate skill in establishing and implementing QC procedures for the continuous improvement of QC department functions. Maintain accurate records on all work performedMaintain and calibrate instruments regularlyMaintain adequate stocks of reagents and materials for the LabResponsible for the selection and use of standard samples for QC materials evaluationPerform standard routine tests (Brix, pH, turbidity etc.) on productsAdhere to all GMPs, GLPs, safety procedures and test methods and specificationsSkills & ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred2 years Industry experienceExcellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Critical thinking and negotiation skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:On-site parkingEducation:Bachelor's (preferred)Experience:Quality Control Technician: 2 years (preferred)HPLC: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
