Job Summary:
The Boyne Valley Group is on the lookout for a Commercial Innovation Manager who’s bursting with ideas and ready to make a real impact. In this exciting role, you’ll lead the charge in shaping our innovation strategy, working closely with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to bring fresh thinking to life. You’ll also build strong partnerships with suppliers and external collaborators to help turn bold ideas into commercial success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on the innovation strategy of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the FMCG sector.
* Business Plan development: work with Finance to build a compelling business case for launch of new product
* Lead Product Development: Drive the development and execution of new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and market demands.
* Project Management: Successfully lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver innovation projects on time and within budget.
* External Partnerships/Suppliers: Build and maintain strong connections with suppliers to leverage pipelines, portfolios, and technologies for innovation.
* Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of innovation initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
* Education: A minimum of a Master's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, product design or a related field.
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the FMCG industry, with a strong track record of successful product launches and innovation projects.
* Innovative Thinker: Ability to generate new ideas and continuously improve existing processes.
* Leadership: Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide teams towards achieving common goals.
* Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture and develop long-term strategies that align with the company's objectives.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
