Job Type: Fixed term till 1st March 2025Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday am - 2.00pmHours : 27.5ISS Food Services in Ballybrit, Galway have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the existing catering team Working Monday to Friday as Catering Assistant to assist in deliver an excellent food experience to our Clients and Customers,Free meals whilst workingUniforms providedContinuous on the job training and educational assistance providedGrowth opportunities within the companyFree onsite parkingImmediate startTo work with the existing catering team in the provision of seasonal food in line with the ISS brand and to a standards of quality, food hygiene and health and safety.Key responsibilities and accountabilitiesFood ProductionTo fully understand and interpret the ISS brand in terms of food and food serviceTo assist in the preparation and service of food to the highest standard and in line with the ISS styleTo produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customersTo assist in stock ordering and stocktaking for the entire operation.Ensure work is completed in a manner to minimise wastageTake part in daily briefings before service ensuring all chefs and front of house staff understand the day's menus and are aware of their responsibilities for the dayTo understand and comply with ISS and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP and to ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance these standardsTo maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers at the relevant siteWork effectively with all colleagues at the relevant site to ensure excellent customer serviceAttend to customer needs in a polite and helpful manner providing assistance where necessary in line with the ISS style and to respond appropriately to any customer queries or complaints taking responsibility to resolve where necessaryBe up to date with customer needs and tastes and communicate any ideas to Food Service Management team as appropriate.Occasional ResponsibilitiesTo attend training courses and attend ISS meetings when necessaryThis job description and person specification is a guideline only and not exhaustive.
