This is a pivotal role in shaping the UK market for a leading manufacturer of bespoke, high-quality outdoor public infrastructure. As Business Development Manager, you will drive growth across the UK market from our Galway-based HQ.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and engage new clients including local authorities, contractors, and architects.
2. Promote bespoke street furniture and fabrication solutions tailored to project needs.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
4. Delve compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical solutions.
5. Travel to the UK monthly for client meetings, site visits, and project follow-up.
6. Track and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
7. Collaborate closely with internal design, technical, and production teams to ensure client requirements are met.
8. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
9. Report on pipeline activity, forecasts, and key performance metrics to senior management.
10. Lead the development of the UK sales strategy.
11. Grow into a leadership role with responsibility for building and managing a UK sales team over time.
Requirements:
* Proven B2B sales experience within engineering, construction, or manufacturing.
* A strong understanding of technical products and bespoke project requirements.
* A relentless, self-starting attitude with a passion for business development.
* Confidence in selling to architects, specifiers, local councils, and contractors.
* Ability to work from our Galway offices while managing the UK territory.
