Job Description:
This role will require engagement across departments driving /leading cross-functional problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
1. Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expedite closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
2. Support Evaluation of Non-Conforming Material and Disposition of the Material.
3. Interpretation of SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems
4. Training and mentoring other Quality or Process Engineers on core tools e.g., SPC Tools, FMEA, MSA.
5. Perform audits of key suppliers if required.
6. Actively participate in audits from customers and certification authorities; review customer specific requirements and respond to part specific information as required by the customers.
7. Work with Product Quality Team to analyze customer returns and support continuous improvement activities.
8. Work with counterparts in sister fabs to share results, best practices and provide comparable data.
9. Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality improvements & implementation of Quality Management System (QMS).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
* Engineering Degree in Process/Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Experience in semiconductor industry functional areas like Quality, Process, Product or Yield engineering.
* Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes including CMOS and Bipolar device technologies with experience in process and device related defect characterization and failure mechanisms.
* Good knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) in high volume semiconductor manufacturing environment and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools
* Excellent knowledge of problem-solving tools like 8D, DMAIC, 5-why, Fish bone analysis, etc.
* Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc. will be preferred.
* Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF16949/ISO9001
* Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization's zero-defect initiative
* Must be able to work in a Clean Room environment as required
* Great collaborator that leads through influence
* Excellent project planning, scheduling, documentation, training, coordinating and communication skills.
