About Your New Job As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will: Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work on various plant machinery and equipment. Conduct welding repairs and installations using steel plates and work platforms. Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems. Participate in plant shutdown work, including tear down and inspection of equipment. Work closely with the Lead Mechanic in training and development. Follow all company procedures and safety policies. What Skills You Need Leaving Certificate and three (3) years of power or industrial plant experience. Formal technical or apprentice training in fields such as electricity, welding, mechanical, millwright, plumbing, or machining. Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, meters, lathes, drill presses, cutting torches, rigging, etc. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
