Chief Operating Officer

About the Role
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of our organization. This includes ensuring effective governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks are in place. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving digital transformation initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
* Lead and manage a team of direct reports across Finance, Operations, ICT/Digital Transformation, Human Resources, Data Governance, and Information Security.
* Collaborate with the Leadership Team to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for our funded networks and initiatives.
* Oversight and management of all corporate resources and facilities, including preparation and maintenance of operating and ICT budgets.
* Design and implement suitable risk and compliance processes to manage key risk areas.
* Deliver the digital transformation strategy, including the development of new management information systems.
* Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely actioning of reported findings.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in a similar leadership position, preferably in a fast-paced business environment.
* A strong understanding of digital transformation strategies and technologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
* A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
