Head of Operations - Insurance
About the Role
Expanding insurance firm, setting up a European Hub in Dublin, seeks proven operations leader to champion process optimisation, system delivery, and outsourcing partnerships. Partners with Group COO to embed efficient, compliant operations driving business scalability.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee core business systems, ensuring high uptime, performance, and seamless processing activities.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive procedural documentation for all operational functions, keeping it current.
* Drive outsourcing integration, manage provider performance, and build scalable processing capabilities with low error rates.
* Champion continuous improvement, metrics tracking in data warehouse, and cross-functional project delivery.
* Engage stakeholders on processing matters; support due diligence and regulatory adherence (DORA, GDPR).
* Identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to COO's strategic objectives.
Experience Required
* Senior operations/leadership role within the insurance industry, spanning multiple areas like policy, premium, claims processing, and accounts.
* Expertise managing outsourced operations, strong controls, and performance in regulated environments.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, embed processes, and deliver scalable improvements.
Person Profile
Initiative-driven problem-solver with proactive mindset and positive attitude towards outcomes. Skilled communicator for internal/external stakeholders; project management and office oversight beneficial.
