Construction Setting Out Engineer
* We are currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Setting Out Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a site engineer in the construction industry. Main Responsibilities:
1. Setting out and surveying: The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and surveying construction sites, ensuring that technical designs and drawings are followed correctly and accurately.
2. Site management and reporting: They will also be responsible for managing and supervising parts of construction projects, preparing site reports and filling in necessary paperwork.
3. Technical advice and problem-solving: Providing technical advice and solving problems on site is another key responsibility of the role.
4. Liaison with other teams: The successful candidate will need to liaise with subcontractors and other professional staff to drive projects forward.
5. Maintaining relationships: Maintaining excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel is essential for the success of the project.
6. Setting out using GPS/Total Stations: Utilizing GPS/Total Stations to set out construction sites.
7. Implementation of safety policy: Ensuring compliance with RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) by implementing company safety policies.
8. Management of subcontractors: Managing and overseeing subcontractors working on the project.
9. Compiling site progress reports: Compiling detailed reports on the progress of the project.
The successful candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint, as well as good knowledge and experience working in the Limerick area.
