You will investigate chemical-related failures, interpret lab results, approve materials, and contribute to technical decision-making across the engineering department.Key ResponsibilitiesLead investigations into chemical, oil, and lubricant failures on equipment and vehiclesInterpret lab and consultant reports to guide technical decisionsApprove and specify chemicals, fuels, and lubricants for procurementConduct in-house material testing and analysisCollaborate with internal teams and external labs or consultantsCandidate Qualifications & Experience:Degree in Chemical Science or Chemical Engineering5+ years industry experienceStrong knowledge of chemical safety, failure analysis, and material treatmentsSkilled in interpreting lab data and writing technical reportsFamiliarity with EN, ISO, and railway standardsExcellent communication, analytical, and IT skillsDesirable:Knowledge of rail, automotive, heavy engineering equipment and stock systemsMembership in a professional engineering body is welcomed.You must be legally able to work in Ireland without need for sponsorship.You will be able to travel to the side each day.Please apply to discuss in confidence.
