Apprentice QC Technician
Location: Technical - Piercetown, Dunboyne, Co. Meath
An exciting opportunity to join Ireland's leading independent manufacturer of concrete and bituminous construction materials. We are currently hiring QC Technicians to join our team at our construction materials testing facility in Dunboyne, Co. Meath.
This is a junior role within our technical department. The position is suitable for secondary school graduates, early career applicants, and individuals seeking career change. Materials testing experience is not required, as all successful applicants will receive full on-the-job training to learn testing methods and product specifics. Candidates will initially shadow experienced colleagues to develop the necessary skills.

Responsibilities:
* Carry out physical testing of building materials such as aggregates (sand, stone, gravel), ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, paving blocks/flags, and bituminous materials used in road construction. These tests include size conformity and strength assessments.
* Collect and prepare material samples for testing.
* Maintain accurate records of all test results in line with quality standards.
* Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
* Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Participate in on-the-job learning as part of the Laboratory Analyst Apprenticeship.
Skills Required:
* Willingness to perform physical tasks related to sampling and testing.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures precisely.
* Good record-keeping and communication skills.
* Proficiency with IT equipment and software.
* Interest in laboratory work and quality control.
