Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining moulding equipment to produce high-quality products while ensuring safety standards and production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities - Production Operations:
* Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines and related equipment.
* Perform quality checks on moulded parts to ensure they meet specifications and standard.
* Adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times to optimize production.
* Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks.
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime Quality Control.
* Inspect finished products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality.
* Document quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate production records and quality reports.
* Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality procedures Safety & Maintenance.
* Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Perform preventive maintenance on moulding equipment.
* Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance team for repairs Collaboration.
* Work closely with production management and other cross functional departments and team members to meet production goals.
* Communicate effectively regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Required Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience operating injection moulding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
* Strong understanding of moulding processes, materials, and quality standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
* Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Technical certification in plastics technology or manufacturing.
* Experience with specific moulding machine brands (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Sumitomo Demag, Battenfeld)
* Knowledge of different plastic materials and their properties.
* Experience with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment.
* Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
