About The IHRB
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) is the independent, all-island body responsible for regulating Irish horseracing. Established under the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016, the IHRB is entrusted with enforcing the Rules of Racing, licensing industry participants, regulating anti-doping and handicapping, and representing Irish racing internationally.
The IHRB supports a €2.46 billion industry employing over 30,000 people, with approximately 150 staff and officials, including a core team of 30 at headquarters and over 100 professional racing officials across the country. Job Purpose
This is a key regulatory administrative position that primarily supports the Licensing Department and reports to the Head of Governance and Legal. While the main focus will be on licensing-related administration, the role may also provide support to other departments as required.
Key Responsibilities
The principal responsibilities of the role will be:
* Answering general licensing queries.
* Administration of Race-day information following race meetings.
* Assist with various project work as it arises.
* Supporting the receptionist with their daily duties & providing cover when needed.
* Issuing correspondence and other documents to external parties.
* Assisting with document preparation, reports, and meeting packs.
* Maintaining accurate records on company databases.
* Supporting departments as needed during busy periods.
* Meeting preparations.
The Person
To be considered for this position you will need excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail and be able to work as part of a dynamic team in the IHRB as well as working on your own initiative. You will need excellent inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organisation and externally. The role may also involve some Bank Holiday work.

* Administration experience including maintenance of databases.
* Experience in a state agency, regulatory body, or the horseracing/sports sector.
* Knowledge of the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016 and/or the Rules of Racing.
