Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epigenetics
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team of researchers in the area of epigenetics. The successful candidate will be working on a project focused on developing a unified DNA methylation-based classification system for sinonasal and salivary gland tumors.
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of researchers from various scientific disciplines, including bioinformatics, computational biology, and machine learning. You will be responsible for analyzing next-generation sequencing and microarray-derived epigenetic data, as well as developing and validating machine learning classifiers for tumor diagnosis and prognosis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields, with experience in programming languages such as R and Python. They will also have a solid understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, as well as excellent research and scientific writing skills.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects within the group, including colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel diseases. You will also have access to state-of-the-art multi-omic data sets, including epigenetic, histopathological, and electronic health record data.
