Summary:
Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based in East Cork, is seeking a Packaging Equipment Engineer to support equipment lifecycle management and reliability initiatives on-site. The successful candidate will play a key role in spare parts management, preventive maintenance optimization, and equipment change control. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors, with a strong focus on improving equipment uptime in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop equipment spare parts management system in collaboration with the Maintenance Team.
2. Source and identify equipment spare parts with appropriate specifications.
3. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance.
4. Review current preventive maintenance tasks and schedules in line with equipment downtime trends to identify and implement improvements for increased uptime.
5. Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
6. Complete site change management activities for equipment modifications.
7. Support cross-functional in-house and external projects.
8. Ensure a strong safety culture and high performance in the execution of maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
2. Minimum of 2-3 years of engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
3. Experience with technical maintenance and packaging equipment.
4. Strong data analysis skills.
5. Experience working in cross-functional teams within a GMP manufacturing environment.
6. Understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
7. Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
