About The Role
EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for an Electrical Project Manager to join our Contracts Team based in the western region. EPS Group is a complete end-to-end solutions provider involved in the design, build, operation, and maintenance of water and wastewater assets and infrastructure in the municipal (Local authority), industrial (Food and Beverage/Dairy/Pharmaceutical) markets. This role is suitable for qualified and experienced electricians aspiring to develop into Project Management. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the main duties include:
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervising and managing electrical upgrade works across various installations in the west and northwest regions.
2. Managing the upgrade or replacement of Motor Control Centres and related electrical installations on wastewater and water treatment sites.
3. Ensuring installation works comply with the latest electrical ETCI regulations.
4. Managing site crews to ensure work is planned, coordinated, and executed safely and efficiently.
5. Procurement of parts and materials within budget, development of material lists, and bills of quantities.
6. Preparation of safety plans and step-by-step procedures prior to works.
7. Coordinating with stakeholders, clients, plant operators, and site crews.
8. Conducting site assessments and documenting work required for asset upgrades to current standards.
9. Supporting the design team with development of P&ID diagrams, motor and instrument lists, and functional design specifications.
10. Reviewing Motor Control Centre schematics and control & automation requirements.
11. Reviewing final commissioning sheets to verify compliance with project requirements and standards.
12. Supporting site crews in fault investigation and resolution, developing solutions for customer-specific electrical needs.
Key Competencies And Skills
1. Qualified Electrician with experience in electrical standards and testing.
2. Technical knowledge of 3-phase industrial installations, including motors, starters, control panels, and instrumentation.
3. Familiarity with current general services regulations.
4. Strong knowledge of RECI certification requirements (Cert 1, 2, and 3).
5. Leadership skills and ability to oversee projects from start to finish.
