Ergo IT Recruitment are seeking a Desktop Engineer for a 6 month day rate contract role with a client based in Dublin City Centre.This person will provide 2nd line support to staff and play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical support, ensuring a smooth user experience.What will you do?Deliver 2nd line IT support onsite and remotelyTroubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issuesBuild and deploy desktops/laptops using Microsoft SCCMInstall software and manage deployments via SCCMComplete user handovers and ensure a positive support experiencePerform hardware break/fix and coordinate with suppliersReimage devices and maintain accurate asset recordsSupport Microsoft technologies including M365, Intune, Defender & CopilotContribute to internal projects and identify service improvementsWhat do you need?2+ years' desktop support experience in an enterprise environmentIT Degree would be advantageousStrong SCCM experience and solid hardware knowledgeSkilled in troubleshooting Windows 10, Citrix, MS Office, networking, and printingExcellent communication skills and attention to detailProcess‑driven, organised, and able to prioritise effectivelySelf‑starter who thrives in a busy, team‑focused environment
