Our spaces are shaped by personality, not playbooks, and our people know that genuine hospitality comes from warmth, not scripts.We are seeking a extremely professional and enthusiastic, full time Sous Chef to join our team in The Dean Hotel, DublinWe are looking for a passionate and hardworking senior chef to join our strong team.Responsibilities include:Menu Execution and Preparation:Assist the Head Chef in executing menu plans and recipes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation of dishes during service periods.Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain efficiency and timeliness in the kitchen.Kitchen Operations Support:Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production schedules, ensuring that all stations are adequately stocked and prepared for service.Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance to uphold food safety standards and operational efficiency.Team Leadership and Training:Lead and motivate kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to recipes and procedures.Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.Gross Profit Management and Stock Control:Monitor food costs, portion sizes, and wastage to optimize Gross Profit margins and control expenses.Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies, conducting stock checks, and minimizing food wastage to optimize cost control, profitability, and stock rotation.Key Skills & Attributes:2/3 years previous experience at Sous levelLevel-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliableAbility to work flexibly under pressure with a positive attitudeApproachable with excellent people skillsExcellent customer service skillsHigh level of initiativeAbility to multitaskA desire to progress as a ChefVersatile and willing to learnExcellent time management essentialBenefits:Global discounted staff room rates across the group50% off Food and 25% Beverage across the groupIncreased Annual Leave with ServiceFriends and Family discountGym Membership Discounts*Continual training and developmentCareer progression within the GroupGratuities *Meals on shiftBike to work schemeTaxsaver for travelRefer a friend schemeWellness at work events and access to wellness platformEmployment Assistance ProgrammeGroup discounts for cinema tickets, shopping deals etcTeam appreciation daysService recognitionRegular fun-filled activities and gatherings for all teams across the groupApplicable to certain positionsThe Dean Hotel Group owns and operates a number of hotel across Ireland, in certain instances we may feel your skills and experience may suit another role we have available.
