Safety Professional Opportunity
The ideal candidate will work on a construction site as a Health and Safety Officer, reporting into the Health and Safety Manager and Project Manager. Regular site visits will be conducted to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site inspections, walks, and audits to identify areas of improvement.
* Produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
* Update health and safety policies to reflect changing regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all site staff adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures.
* Communicate regularly with site management regarding health and safety matters.
* Implement method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, and O&M manuals.
* Provide training and support to site staff to promote good health and safety practices.
* Liaise with clients and consultancies as necessary.
* Source and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) stocks.
* Attend health and safety meetings and contribute to discussions.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years' experience in a health and safety role.
* Relevant third-level qualifications.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A self-starter with ambition to grow and develop.
* Team player who can also work independently.
* Confident in using Microsoft Office software.
* Full driving license.
