Occupational Therapist Role
Nua Healthcare Services is seeking qualified Occupational Therapists to join their team, providing specialized residential and respite services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other conditions. The role involves managing a caseload, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children and adults residing in Nua Healthcare centres, providing assessment, intervention, and evaluation of treatment programmes.
* Engage in interdisciplinary working with Consultant Psychiatrists, Behaviour Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers, and Assistance Support Workers.
* Complete environmental assessments to ensure accessibility for individuals' specific sensory and physical support requirements.
* Carry out reviews of service users' postural support needs and complete basic and complex seating assessments as required.
* Support service users' transition back into the home after hospitalization and promote purposeful engagement in self-care, leisure, and productive pursuits.
Requirements:
* Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy from a 3rd-level institution accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
* Registration with CORU or pending registration at application stage.
* Post-qualification work experience as an Occupational Therapist within disability services/mental health services.
* Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
* Experience in implementing sensory integration approaches with a recognized sensory integration course completed.
