An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join the Royal Marine Hotel.
This role will focus on event planning and implementation through liaising daily/weekly with the Operations Team within the hotel.
The Wedding and Events Coordinator must maintain open communication between clients, must be a highly organised individual, ensuring prompt and exceptional customer care at all times.
Job Spec:
* Being fully familiar with our products and services (meeting rooms, rooms, outlets, packages, special offers), local amenities, events taking place locally, etc.
* Dealing with inbound Wedding and Event enquiries in a friendly but professional, timely, comprehensive, and efficient manner, including taking, recording/processing, and cancelling reservations
* Assisting with the maximisation of meeting room and other associated revenue, occupancy percentages, etc., through efficient and effective sales/upselling activities, in conjunction with the Sales Manager/wider Meetings & Events Team and with the other relevant Departments
* Ensuring all corporate/guest requests and other relevant information is confirmed with the client and communicated to all relevant Departments in a clear and timely manner
* Building strong relationships with corporate clients/guests
* Attending meetings & wedding showcases as required
* Ensuring all charges are properly communicated and processed
* Dealing efficiently and politely with corporate client/guest feedback
* Ideally, bringing forward initiatives and innovations for consideration
Requirements:
* Previous experience in event management.
* A professional, friendly, and positive approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for events, with a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for our clients.
