As a Data Engineering Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring that data pipelines, integrations, transformations, and platforms meet quality, performance, and compliance standards before they are deployed into production. You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to design and execute test plans, validate data integrity, and confirm that solutions are fit for purpose. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and execute test cases for data ingestions, transformation, and storage processes. Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source and target systems. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues. Perform regression, integration and performance testing for data workflows. Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to design and develop comprehensive test cases that cover functional and non-functional requirements. Implement and maintain automated testing scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts. Document and report test results, including defects and issues found during testing. Communicate findings to the development team and assist in troubleshooting. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, IT or relevant field. Proven data engineering testing experience in enterprise class data engineering platforms e.g. Teradata Vantage, Snowflake etc Experience with testing pipeline creation, data provisioning & storage, architecture, unstructured data, ETL development, data modelling, big data, APIs, Python, SQL, NO-SQL databases, and big data tools.
