Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineer – Fixed Term Contracts

Key Responsibilities
Supervise MEICA works on-site, ensuring accuracy in records, measurements and documentation.
Report to the Project Team and Employer’s Representative.
Collaborate with site supervision teams across multiple contracts.
Ensure MEICA works comply with specifications.
Assess contractor claims, payment applications and performance against KPIs.
Review contractor RAMS and MEICA submissions, providing clear feedback.
Evaluate design submissions, equipment specifications and ensure alignment with project/client requirements.
Oversee commissioning activities, including process proving and system testing.
Contribute to quality and safety standards throughout project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
Degree-qualified (Level 8 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
Resident Engineer: Minimum 4 years’ experience in supervising MEICA works.
Senior Resident Engineer: 7–10 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, preferably in the water sector.
Solid understanding of the water/wastewater industry and capital delivery frameworks.
Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of MEICA systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control philosophies and managing FAT/SAT.
Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts; experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract would be advantageous but not essential.
Skilled in producing clear, detailed reports and maintaining thorough site records.
Experience with Quality Assurance systems and contract management.
Competency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.
Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
Full, clean driving licence required.
