Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to support our finance team in managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong IT skills, and experience with Irish financial practices. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer payments
* Reconcile bank statements, creditor and debtor ledgers
* Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and monthly statements
* Assist with month-end and year-end accounts preparation
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems
* Process employee expenses and support payroll administration
* Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve queries
* Prepare and file VAT returns and assist with other Revenue obligations (e.g., PAYE, RCT if applicable)
* Support the finance team with administrative tasks and ad hoc reporting
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts administration role in Ireland
* Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and Irish financial regulations
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage
* Excellent MS Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Required:
* Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business (e.g., IATI, part-qualified ACCA/ACA)
* Experience with Revenue Online Service (ROS), VAT returns, and other Irish compliance procedures
* Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Collsoft)
