HR Generalist – Co. Cork (Hybrid)
Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a HR Generalist on behalf of our client, a well-established agribusiness based in Co. Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a dynamic organisation and play a key role in supporting business performance through effective people management, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives.
Salary: €40k – €45k
Hours: Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies to meet business needs and manage the full recruitment lifecycle in line with best practice procedures
2. Act as a key HR point of contact for designated stores and stakeholders, providing advice and support on people strategy, best practice, and performance improvement
3. Build and manage strong working relationships with trade unions at store and site level, addressing issues as they arise
4. Lead the rollout and ongoing management of the performance management framework, supporting development conversations, succession planning, and the management of underperformance
5. Ensure robust HR processes and systems are in place across the full employee lifecycle, maintaining compliance with company policy and employment legislation
6. Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring timely, fair, and effective resolution
7. Drive employee engagement and communication initiatives across the business
8. Develop and implement learning and development programmes to support employee growth and potential in line with company policies
Requirements:
9. Third-level qualification in Human Resources
10. Minimum 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced HR environment, ideally supporting retail, agribusiness, or a similar sector
11. Strong experience partnering with management teams in a generalist HR capacity
12. Solid knowledge of Irish employment law, employee relations, and best practice HR procedures
13. Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
14. Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities
