The Finance BP is responsible for leading and delivering complex maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) projects across the organisation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Finance Business Partner (FBP) – MRO will act as the key financial interface between Finance and Aircraft Maintenance Operations, supporting the delivery of profitable, on‑time maintenance events while strengthening financial discipline, cost control, and commercial decision‑making across the hangars.The role combines hands‑on financial analysis, operational engagement, and commercial challenge, ensuring that production leaders clearly understand financial performance, risks, and opportunities throughout the maintenance lifecycle.Business Partnering & Operational SupportAct as the primary finance partner to the COO across assigned hangars / programs.Attend operational forums (e.g. pre‑input meetings, weekly production reviews, wash‑ups) to provide financial insight and challenge.Translate operational activity (man‑hours, materials, TAT, re‑work) into clear financial outcomes and implications.Support decision‑making on slot utilisation, overtime, subcontracting, and capacity trade‑offs.Support long‑range planning and scenario modelling aligned to the MRO strategy.Cost Control & Performance AnalysisTrack and analyse direct labour efficiency, productivity, and non‑productive time.Monitor material consumption, scrap, and third‑party costs against estimates and contracts.Utilise Information from Finance Team to articulate KPIs covering cost, margin, utilisation, and cash performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and margin enhancement.Commercial & Contract SupportPartner with Commercial and Operations teams to support bid reviews, pricing assumptions, and margin analysis for MRO work.Review maintenance event financials to ensure contract terms, scope changes, and variations are accurately reflected.Support post‑event financial reviews and lessons learned.Key RelationshipsCOOFinance Business PartnersMRO Production & Planning TeamsHead of Production / Operations ManagementCommercial / Aircraft Business ManagersGroup FP&A and Finance OperationsSenior Leadership TeamCandidate RequirementsEssentialUnderstanding of labour‑driven cost models and contract‑based revenue.Experience supporting bids, pricing, or commercial decision‑making.Strong experience in finance business partnering within an operational or industrial environment.Proven ability to work closely with non‑finance stakeholders and influence decision‑making.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data.Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (ideally IFS and Wings).DesirableExperience in aircraft MRO, aviation, engineering, manufacturing, or project‑based environments.Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).Other RequirementsMust satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon.PPE is provided by AAG, and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.Our Core ValuesIf you feel your skills and experience meet the requirements of this position, we look forward to hearing from you!Atlantic Aviation Group reserves the right to close the role prior to this date should a suitable applicant be found.As a growing and ambitious organisation, we are always interested in speaking to individuals about their next career move.
